Rep/Development Program

Taking things to the next level

The Development and Rep Program is for players interested in taking their soccer game to the next level with an increased time, effort and energy commitment to their team. Play is more competitive with focus on developing technical skills. Dev and Rep Teams will practice throughout the Fall, Winter and Spring. Teams in this program have the option of playing in tournaments or playing in the Thompson Okanagan Youth Soccer League (TOYSL) with travel in the Okanagan/Shuswap region April to June 2025.

Program Informa

Tournament Teams:

These teams will choose which tournaments they want to play in which will take place out of town over weekends in the spring.

TOYSL Teams:

Games are held every Sunday from the end of April to the end of June, with most games taking place out of town.

Each team will decide by early December whether they will be a tournament team or TOYSL team.

All Dev/Rep teams host and participate in the Revelstoke Little Bear Tournament on September 6th and 7th, 2025.

All players interested in Dev/Rep MUST register online at www.revsoccer.com Payment can be made online.

The full year cost of Rep/Dev is $300 per player. $150 due at registration and $150 due on October 31st.

The fee includes player insurance, House fees, referee fees, TOYSL fees, equipment and player uniforms. A refund will be issued should the player not be successful or no team is available in the age category.

Teams practice indoors in school gyms during the Winter and early Spring.

Practice days and times are determined by the Rep/Dev Coach and gym space availability.

RYSA Rep/Dev Program MISSION STATEMENT:

RYSA supports a Development/Rep soccer program structure where players can be involved in the game at a technical degree that is beyond the regular House program. The objective of the Development/Rep program is to encourage further skill development within a positive and challenging teaching environment.

Support the 8-aside, small-field Development opportunities at the U10-U13 age levels.
Support the full-side, large field, competitive Rep program with a combination of U14 - U18 players.

Team Selection

RYSA aims to form teams that will allow the greatest number of players to play the beautiful game at each level of soccer. Due to our smaller population, RYSA typically has to combine more than one age group to form a team. The RYSA Board and Coaches meet to coordinate the teams following registration. In an ideal world, we would have enough players to form competitive teams throughout, however registration numbers are usually what dictate what our teams will be composed of. Our focus is to create competitive teams where children can learn and develop their skills.
